SALARY BANDS

Band Summary

1

Executive Leadership

Top level executives with accountability for global organization-wide leadership and oversight of all major functional areas, as well as the IRC's operational and financial performance; in conjunction with the Board of Directors, establish and steward the IRC's mission, vision, values and strategy

Organizational Leadership

Senior level managers with accountability for leadership of one or more important functional areas, organizational processes and/or disciplines which strongly contribute to the establishment and achievement of the mission and vision; create policy for their respective areas and for the IRC, and through their actions determine the strategic direction of the organization with a focus on flexibility and responsiveness

Strategic Leadership

Develop the long-term goals and policy for an area (or areas) considered to be strategically important to the operation of the IRC, and the achievement of its mission and vision; oversee key functions and engage with key internal and external stakeholders at the highest levels with a focus on flexibility and responsiveness

Functional Leadership

Manage activities that have a common purpose; key coordination with others as a leader, or a team player; work performed is typically integrated with related functions impacting a major area of the organization with a focus on flexibility and responsiveness

Senior Professional

Tend to focus on a single functional area and are responsible for the implementation of plans related to functional or departmental initiatives; includes more senior level individual contributors, managers of well-defined functional areas and leaders of related programs and activities

Practicing Professional

Responsible for performing a series of activities requiring the application of specialized technical or functional skills; encompasses intermediate Ai senior level individual contributors or first-line supervisory positions

Professional

Responsible for performing administrative or technical work requiring the application of technical or functional skills; typically, encompasses entry level professionals with minimal work experience and little or no direct responsibility for the work of others, or some first-line supervisory positions of clearly defined tasks and activities

Functional Support

Individual contributors performing administrative or technical work requiring the application of technical or functional skills; will typically focus on a particular technical area and will have acquired skills of a more in-depth nature; jobs in this band may be exempt or nonexempt

Administrative Support

Perform clerical, administrative, technical or office services work and have no direct responsibility for the work of others; jobs in this band are typically nonexempt

Perform administrative, clerical or office services work of a basic nature and have no direct responsibility for the work of others; jobs in this band are nonexempt
